The “Derek Bell” pencil portrait completed on November 15th, 2019 by Automotive Artist Samantha Zimmermann features the Gulf livery 917 and its driver Derek Bell.

Derek Bell, having replaced none other than Brian Redman, made the switch from Ferrari to Porsche to drive the 917. This drive gave him the opportunity to win back-to-back Daytona and LeMans victories later in the 962.
